A must see
I loved it. Singing was beautiful, story unfolds slowly and sweetly. Powerful performances. Beautifully told story of one of the original boy bands. Deeply touching
Excellent night of theatre
Saw it last night . While first act felt a little long, I have to say that I literally laughed and cried throughout. I left theater humming and today I cannot stop thinking about this haunting show . GREAT sets, costumes, staging. Performers exceptional, earning all of the standing ovations they got. By the end I had shivers. Highly recommended.
Do not miss
Surprised more folks have not given their review of Harmony yet. I did see this touching play Tuesday night. Had heard this was in Atlanta first and happy we where given the opportunity to see it in L.A . At first I thought maybe a little slow, but did not take me long to get involved in the story. The way the main character told the story of how this group of Boy singers of the 20's and 30's gives you a close up look at how they started and struggled in hard times. How they where such good friends that became successful world wide. This was a very difficult time in History, You feel the deep joys and pain of the times. The music by Barry Manilow was just wonderful and on point. Myself. I also enjoyed the. Wardrobe as it made me think of my family when I was young, the dresses, nylons with black strip up the back of leg, hats. Sight for sore eyes. Thank you for a great evening your hard work on Harmony shows
Delightful music and wonderful singers
The show starts off with a bang and keeps on going until towards the end of the second act. It drags a bit in the last 10 minutes, but of course it was a sad ending to their life. However, the last song of the production Stars in the Night made up for it as it is a wonderful hopeful song. I gave it 4 1/2 stars instead of 5 because the costumes were not really 30's vintage -- perhaps a bit more research would be in order here. All in all, a wonderful afternoon at the theater. The scene 2 was very artfully done in the way it melded 3 different stories into one with the same song. Much of the story also could apply to what is happening in our world this very moment. Can we learn from the past?
