Why see Harmony?

In 1920's Germany, one of the world's first boy bands rose to superstardom around the globe!

Harmony tells the true story of The Comedian Harmonists, a close harmony ensemble of six young men in 1930s Germany, who took the world by storm until their religious composition - a mixture of Jews and Gentiles - put them on a collision course with history.

This inspirational story inspired longtime collaborators, the legendary Barry Manilow and theatre veteran Bruce Sussman, to create a spectacular new musical with an original score that celebrates this extraordinary group of friends and their quest for true harmony during turbulent times.

Excellent night of theatre

Saw it last night . While first act felt a little long, I have to say that I literally laughed and cried throughout. I left theater humming and today I cannot stop thinking about this haunting show . GREAT sets, costumes, staging. Performers exceptional, earning all of the standing ovations they got. By the end I had shivers. Highly recommended. ... Read more

Delightful music and wonderful singers

The show starts off with a bang and keeps on going until towards the end of the second act. It drags a bit in the last 10 minutes, but of course it was a sad ending to their life. However, the last song of the production Stars in the Night made up for it as it is a wonderful hopeful song. I gave it 4 1/2 stars instead of 5 because the costumes were not really 30's vintage -- perhaps a bit more research would be in order here. All in all, a wonderful afternoon at the theater. The scene 2 was very artfully done in the way it melded 3 different stories into one with the same song. Much of the story also could apply to what is happening in our world this very moment. Can we learn from the past? ... Read more
