The  Ahmanson Theatre is located downtown at the Music Centre of Los Angeles County. The Music Center is conveniently located within easy freeway access and is a large two-block complex bordered by Temple St, N Grand Ave, First St and Hope St. The Ahmanson is the large theatre at the north end of the Plaza, and the Mark Taper Forum is the round theatre in the middle. The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion at the south end is the home of the LA Opera and LA Master Chorale. The Walt Disney Concert Hall at the far south end is home to the LA Philharmonic. The Ahmanson theatre is easily accessible by car, bus and rail.

From the Santa Ana 5 Freeway Northbound: turn onto the Hollywood 101 Freeway North. Stay in the extreme right lane (following signs for 110/Harbor Fwy), exit Grand Avenue and turn right on Grand Ave. Proceed one block. Parking is on the right in the middle of the block, under the Music Center, just past Temple St.

From the Golden State 5 Freeway Southbound: take the Los Angeles exit onto the 110 Freeway South. On the 110 get over to the left lane as soon as you can and exit at Hill St. Continue straight eight blocks on Hill, turn right on Temple St, and proceed one long block to Grand Ave. Turn left. Parking is on the right under the Music Center.

From the Harbor 110 Freeway Northbound: exit onto 4th St, stay in the left hand lane. Continue on 4th two blocks to South Olive St. Turn left and proceed two long blocks until the street ends at First St. Turn left, get in the right hand lane and turn right on Grand Ave. The Music Center is on the left hand side of the street.

From the Pasadena 110 Freeway Southbound: from the far left lane, exit at Hill St. Continue straight eight blocks on Hill, turn right on Temple St, and proceed one long block to Grand Ave. Turn left. Parking is on the right under the Music Center.

From the 210 Freeway or the 2 Freeway Southbound: If on the 210 Freeway, exit Southbound on the 2 Freeway, then exit to the Golden State 5 Freeway Southbound to Los Angeles. Stay in the right lanes and take the Los Angeles exit onto the 110 Freeway South. On the 110 get over to the left lane as soon as you can and exit at Hill St. Continue straight eight blocks on Hill, turn right on Temple St, and proceed one long block to Grand Ave. Turn left. Parking is on the right under the Music Center.

From the Hollywood 101 Freeway Northbound: Stay in the extreme right lane (following signs for 110/Harbor Fwy), exit Grand Avenue and turn right on Grand Ave. Proceed one block. Parking is on the right in the middle of the block, under the Music Center, just past Temple St.

From the Hollywood 101 Freeway Southbound: just past the 101 and Harbor 110 Freeway interchange, exit at Temple St. Turn left on Temple and go one block. Turn right on Grand Ave. Parking is on the right under the Music Center Garage.

From the Santa Monica 10 Freeway Eastbound: get into the far left hand lane on 10 Freeway east. Stay in the same lane turning off onto the Pasadena 110 Freeway North. Do not change lanes on the 110, exiting about 1/4 mile later onto 4th Street. Stay in the left lane two blocks to South Olive St. Turn left and proceed two long blocks until the street ends at First St. Turn left, get in the right hand lane and turn right on Grand Ave. The Music Center is on the left hand side of the street.

From the San Bernadino 10 Freeway or the 60 Freeway Westbound: proceed to the Hollywood 101 Freeway North. From the 101, stay in the extreme right lane (following signs for 110/Harbor Fwy), exit Grand Avenue and turn right on Grand Ave. Proceed one block. Parking is on the right in the middle of the block, under the Music Center, just past Temple St.

Parking at the Ahmanson Theatre
Please plan on arriving at least one half hour prior to curtain time. Restaurant, self-service café and bar services are available before performances on the Music Center Plaza. Desserts and bar services are available inside each theatre before performances and at intermission.

Self-Parking is available in the Music Center Garage for $8 at the Grand Avenue entrance. (Please note: for weekday matinees please arrive between noon and 2pm and you will be charged $8. Parking before noon is $17.) The garage sometimes fills up on dates when all three theatres at the Music Center are operating. Evening and weekend parking is often available at the Department of Water and Power, enter on Hope Street.

Valet parking is available for $20 at the Music Center's Hope Street entrance.

Handicapped Parking is available for patrons displaying a handicapped placard at both the Music Center Garage and valet parking. The charge at both locations is $8.

Restaurant Parking: Many downtown hotels and restaurants provide convenient parking and FREE round-trip shuttle service to the Music Center.
