The Ahmanson has a classic proscenium stage designed for large musicals and plays with seating for 1600 to 2000 people in a three level configuration: a main floor Orchestra level, a mid-level Mezzanine, and an upper Balcony section. The Ahmanson is wheelchair accessible on all levels and provides Phonic Ear sound system headsets for the hard of hearing.
Wheelchair Seating
Accommodations for persons in wheelchairs or persons with disabilities and their attendants or companions may be made by calling Audience Services at 213/628-2772. Patrons at the Ahmanson Theater should contact us if your wheelchair status changes so that your seating will be correct when you arrive at the theatre for each production. Please try to arrive early if you need help with access. (Patrons who need to use the lift at the Taper should arrive at least 30 minutes prior to curtain.) Latecomers will be handled on an individual basis.
