Cinema at the Edge (CATE) Film festival celebrates independent films of all genres that feature a distinct vision, a unique voice, or a challenge to what is expected and accepted in the medium. Featuring over 60 narratives, documentaries, and shorts, from talented filmmakers all over the world, CATE gives new and recognized films and filmmakers the chance to ignite audience buzz, gain acclaimed exposure, and provide global distribution opportunities.
The festival is located in the heart of Santa Monica's Main Street minutes away from the beach housed at the Edgemar Center for the Arts, a two theatre and art gallery complex designed by Frank Gehry.
