Why see Incubus, Deftones, Death From Above 1979 & The Bots?

Incubus & Deftones Gear Up For a Mammoth Tour!

The alt-rock heavens are opening, and an almighty deluge fast approaches in the form of a mammoth double headline tour featuring the as-until-recently-quiet heroes of melodic hard rock Incubus and fellow Californian grunge-metal champions Deftones. Yes, you heard correctly, they're teaming up and bringing along Canadian rock duo Death From Above 1979 and garage punk rockers The Bots as support.

A new album lies on the horizon for Incubus, whose last album If Not Now, When? hit the airwaves in 2011. No dates have been currently set for release, but 2015 saw the release of two E.P.s of new material, showcasing the band's return to fine form. Born in 1991, the quintet attained commercial recognition riding the fine lines between heavy rock, psychedelia, rap and pop, culminating in multi-platinum success.

Forerunners of the heavy riffage and melodious vocals of the Cali alt-metal scene, Deftones first unleashed their musical fury on the world with their debut album Adrenaline in 1995, but it was the release of their second album Around The Fur that propelled them to stardom, with radio and MTV endorsement. The band's creative juxtaposition of wild angst and sonorous serenity has seen them solidify their status as an indelible part of the modern rock landscape.

Did you Know?

Fans of both bands might be surprised to hear that this isn't the first time they've been on the same bill! In 2000 Deftones embarked on a tour to promote White Pony, with Incubus as support.
