The Monkees Present: The Mike and Micky Show at Grove of Anaheim

Why see The Monkees Present: The Mike and Micky Show?

The Mike and Micky Show

Hey, hey it's The Monkees' Michael Nesmith and Micky Dolenz, who are heading out on their first ever tour as a duo! Though they've stated this tour will be very different to what a Monkees fan should expect, these performances will feature tracks spanning the group's entire careers; from its 1966 debut album to 2018's Christmas Party.

The set will be centered around the classic groups incredible catalog, but the duo also plan to role out deep cuts and rarities and will also be giving live performances to tracks that have been neglected on previous tours.

Cheers Up Sleepy Jean!

The Monkees rose to fame in the mid 1960's and in 1967 had sold more albums than The Beatles and The Rolling Stones combined! Their most recognisable tracks; 'I'm A Believer' and 'Daydream Believer' are still just as popular with todays generation.

Make sure you don't miss these two icons when they come to a city near you!

They told us they'd come back...

As a huge Monkees fan, what a treat it was to see Mike and Micky performing together again. I was lucky to have attended the Monkees 50th anniversary show at the Pantages Theatre in LA in Sept 2016, when Nez announced that he was done performing as a Monkee. It was also the final time that Micky, Mike and Peter performed as a trio. The thought of Nez never performing those songs again was a bummer. The original night at the Beacon was postponed due to Nez's recent illness, but the return was well worth the wait. The setlist was ideal, with Monkees standards (I'm A Believer, Pleasant Valley Sunday, Last Train to Clarksville, etc.), as well as deep cuts like St. Matthew, Auntie's Municipal Court, The Door Into Summer, and I'll Spend My Life With You. There was a nice nod to the recently departed Peter Tork. Nez even performed Joanne for good measure. Would've liked Different Drum and 9 Times Blue from the original setlist, but I saw Nez do those recently in a solo show. #InductTheMonkees ... Read more

Outstanding Show

I have been a Monkees fan since Day 1 and have seen their live shows many times over the years. Last night's concert at the Paramount in Denver was the best performance by any combination of the band's members that I have seen. Not just a stroll down memory lane of their most successful hits, but an opportunity to hear some of their best material that is less familiar. Many of the songs had never been performed live prior to this tour. The music has withstood the test of time and showcased the talents of both gentlemen. The evening was a joy for any fan, but for those of us who wanted a new experience with our beloved Monkees, it was a night that will long be remembered. ... Read more
