Bustle, bravura and sheer bombast are the defining elements of Michael Giacchino's brass-led, percussion-driven, drama-fuelled score that successfully re-defines Star Trek's musical landscape.

EXPERIENCE JJ ABRAHNS' STAR WARS LIVE IN CONCERT
Following a highly acclaimed movie reboot starring Chris Pine and Zoe Saldana, J.J.Abrams successfully brought this well-loved science fiction franchise out of obscurity with the first installment in 2009. With Star Trek: Beyond about to hit theaters this summer, head back to '09 for a full HD movie screening at the Bowl, with Michael Giacchino's thrilling soundtrack played live by the LA Philharmonic and conducted by David Newman.
Originally conceived by Gene Roddenberry in 1964, the Original Series aired in 1966 to rave reviews due to its fearlessness in tackling contemporary social issues such as sexism, racism, nationalism, and global war. With various television spin-offs and movies throughout the Eighties and Nineties to varying degrees of success, science fiction TV director JJ Abrams took on the mammoth task of rebooting the franchise with a set of new movies. With the iconic theme tune playing a key role, it would remain mostly untouched by Abrams' frequent musical collaborator Michael Giacchino, who previously composed the scores for Fringe, Lost and Alias. The new soundstrack takes on a more epic feel, with a 107-piece orchestra and 40-person choir.
