International soul superstar and nine-time Grammy winner John Legend will be joined by the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra to recreate Marvin Gaye's iconic What's Going On concept album from start to finish. The event will also feature Sharon Jones of Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings in a duet with John Legend, an homage to Gaye's hit duets with Tammi Terrell.

Released in 1971, What's Going On was an artistic triumph that made waves musically, socially and politically through its lyrics about drug abuse, racial conflict and the Vietnam war. It is widely lauded as being on the greatest albums ever made.
