Rap's Founding Fathers

Art of Rap Festival boasts an immense line-up of some of rap's greatest names. Topping the bill are Public Enemy and Ice-T. Both hugely influential and controversial figures in the 80s music scene, they pioneered socially conscious, politically minded rap on iconic tracks like 'Fight the Power', 'Louder Than a Bomb' and 'Cop Killer', and paved the way for a whole generation that followed. Also playing are The Sugarhill Gang, whose 1979 track 'Rapper's Delight' was the first rap song to ever chart in the Billboard Hot 100.
