A double-bill of Swedish metal's finest

December sees an awesome invasion of Swedish metal as two of the country's leading acts - none other than Opeth and In Flames - head to the US for a tour, joined by Portland band Red Fang. Dubbed the Communion of Sirens tour, it sees the trio covering fifteen stops over three weeks in support of new albums released by both Opeth and In Flames. The tour name being a mash-up of the two new albums; Pale Communion by Opeth and Siren Charms by In Flames.

Opeth have been creating progressive death-metal since 1990, though any fan will testify that their sound has changed alongside their line-up over the years. One thing the band has held onto is the distinctive vocals of frontman Mikael Akerfeldt, who is the only original band member remaining.
