Kris Kristofferson at The Canyon Santa Clarita

Why see Kris Kristofferson?

Songwriter, Singer & Actor On tour Again

Kris Kristofferson has been a fixture of America's cultural landscape since the early 1970s. After leaving the army, Texas-born Kristofferson moved to Nashville to pursue his love of music in 1965, and soon became a prodigious songwriter, penning iconic tunes for the likes of Johnny Cash, Dave Dudley, and most notably, 'Me and Bobby McGee', which was a number one hit for Janis Joplin. From there his star as a recording artist in his own right was on the rise, as was his career in the movies, appearing in a string of classic flicks like Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore and A Star is Born.

A songwriter of rare perception and humanity, Kristofferson remains as vital a stage presence as ever, with one of music's great back catalogues to call upon. Catch him when he plays in , ,

No one can wring the emotion from a song like Kristofferson and the set list contained many of his classics which insured that the crowd chimed in, especially for favorites “Me and Bobbie McGee” and “Sunday Morning Coming Down”. The Strangers (of Merle Haggard fame) provided great background accompaniment and Scott Joss laid in some excellent vocal solos. I dare say that this concert “took me back to something that I lost somehow, somewhere along the way”. ... Read more

Kris Kristofferson and The Strangers

Very nostalgic and memorable evening. The staging (particularly the lighting) could have been better, but the band and Kris did not disappoint. I saw him perform in Boulder (with Rita Coolidge) back in the '70s, so of course everyone has grown older! Amazed at his staying power at age 83. So happy I went! ... Read more

Kris at the Uptown

The moment he came on stage the band was great along with his unpresidented song lyrics. and A musician and mastery song writter with decades of his words were truely heart felt. People of all ages were there seen many shows at the Uptown the sound system was very poor but I was glad to see one of the last living Outlaw Legends of country music along with a top notch if not one of the best songwriters of all time ...
