Country's Brightest Female Artists

The second CMT Next Women of Country Tour is headed across North America and Canada in 2016. The Next Women campaign was launched in 2013 by CMT in order to bring the wealth of talented female country artists out there to a wider audience. Kasey Musgraves and Cassadee Pop are among the artists who have benefited from the exposure.

This year's edition is headlined by Jennifer Nettles. Best known as the one part of the duo Sugarland (who are currently on hiatus), her brassy vocals and incisive lyrics are amongst the recognisable in Country. If you need anymore proof of her credentials, she was picked to play Dolly Parton the TV-movie Coat of Many Colors!
