New West Symphony: The Symphony Rocks at Fred Kavli Theatre

Why see New West Symphony: The Symphony Rocks?

The Symphony is going to rock out!

Following their successful 20th anniversary season in 2015, New West Symphony aren't resting on their laurels. 2016 will see them perform their annual six Masterpiece Series concerts, with The Symphony Rocks taking on a rather different sound than usual! Featuring on this program are pieces from Barber's The School for Scandal, Mozart's Sinfonia and Copeland's The Tyrant's Crush! If you've ever wanted to hear a rock version of classical music, then this is the concert to see! Led by company director Marcelo Lehninger.

The performers playing are debut artists Stewart Copeland on drums and Lara Wickes on oboe, with symphony regulars Joshua Ranz on clarinet, Duncan Massey on bassoon and James Thatcher on horn.
