Born in Budapest, Schiff first began playing the piano at the tender age of five. Since then the star has gone onto becoming awarded with some of the worlds most prestigious accolades, including; a Grammy, Gramophone Award, the Mozart Medal and the Royal Academy of Music Bach Prize. The pianist was also Knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2014 for his services to music.
