Los Angeles Philharmonic - Bach and Pergolesi at Walt Disney Concert Hall

Why see Los Angeles Philharmonic - Bach and Pergolesi?

A series of Baroque and chamber music

LA Phil bring a sparkling mixed program to Walt Disney Hall this November, as part of their upcoming holiday season series! Conducted by French conductor and harpsichordist Emmanuelle Haim, this concert concentrates on 18th century music, with help of guest soprano, Texan-born Laura Claycomb and countertenor Christophe Dumaux from Paris. A truly Baroque evening of music awaits....

The program begins with English court musician Henry Purcell's enchanting Suite From The Fairy Queen, a piece based on Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. Next comes French composer Rameau's Suite from Les Indes Galantes, Bach's Suite No. 3 in D, BWV 1068 and concluding with Pergolesi's chamber piece Stabat mater.
