Why see Los Angeles Philharmonic: Late Masterworks Mozart & Bruckner?
At the Walt Disney Concert Hall
Two legendary composers' last works are in the spotlight for this majestic concert from the LA Phil that compares the simplicity of Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 27, K. 595 and Bruckner's Symphony No. 9.
Unfinished at the time of his death Bruckner's Symphony No. 9 is a self-referential piece that includes many motifs found throughout his life's works. His reverence of Beethoven is evident in the title of this beautifully characterful work.
Alongside it is Mozart's last piano concerto, that delves into simplicity and has been named one of his most personal works of his short life and career.
