Why see Los Angeles Philharmonic: Tour de Force: Dudamel's New World?
A joyous expression of the American experience
Join famed Venezuelan conductor Gustav Dudamel and the LA Philharmonic Orchestra as they perform one of the best loved symphonies of all time, Dvorak's Symphony No. 9 - better known as the "New World Symphony." The evening's programme is steeped in nostalgia even as it gazes into the future, also featuring John Adam's "City Noir."
With its jazz influences and LA feel, the theme of "City Noir" is the Californian landscape and culture and combined with Dudamel's fresh approach to the "New World Symphony" the event is set to be a jubilant celebration of American outlook and inspiration, from past to present and future.
