Why see Netflix Is A Joke Fest - Patton Oswalt?

Who's ready to laugh?

With an increasing number of stand-up specials made especially for its roster (over 200 can be found on-site already), it makes sense that streaming heavyweight Netflix is taking its golden comedy formula to the stage. Finally taking place from April 28 to May 8, the first-ever Netflix Is A Joke Fest is set to leave LA in stitches, featuring the biggest and brightest established comics, as well as up-and-coming performers that are just itching to be discovered by new fans. May 7 sees the multi-talented Patton Oswalt take to the stage of the Orpheum Theatre. Hot off the success of his Emmy nominated special 'I Love Everything', this time he's asking us 'Who's Ready To Laugh?' We certainly are!

Oswald has seen astronomical success since starting his stand-up comedy in the late Eighties. His humor has been characterized as "righteous anger", especially in his earlier material, but now as an A-list comic, he can command an audience's total attention even when using less energy or telling longer stories that are punctuated by fewer jokes.

Oswalt makes observations in a myriad of sources; from pop culture trivia such as comic super villains (see his Batman and Joker stuff), 1980s glam metal to deeper social issues like American excess, materialism, foreign policy, and religion, as well as his atheism and experiences of grief.
