Known for their energetic live shows, it's about time The Mars Volta made their return. In 2013, the band revealed they were breaking up but never ruled out the possibility of them getting back together. In an interview in 2016, Rodriguez-Lopez stated he'd love to get the band back together - with still so much left to do. Six years later, the band revealed a location to fans where they could preview new music from the band. This was followed by the announcement of their first new music and first new tour in 10 years.
