Was headed into Chandler on Sept. 4th to see my daughter. Wife and I were looking for things to do with her while there and discovered that David Lee Roth was performing that night at Gila River Wild Horse Pass Casino - so bought Tix. Van Halen exploded on the Rock Scene during my high school years and I instantly became a huge fan. The September 4th 2025 at Gila River show was disappointing. I came to see the original frontman of VH sing a Van Halen song list of some of my favorite songs. It was a disappointing spectacle of DLR's trying to sing, with "Whoos" and "cooos" (sounded like a parrot ) here and there and terrible lyric adaptations + mumbling throughout the songlist with profanity and suggestive sex comments mixed in. I cannot sugarcoat this - David Lee Roth was horrible. The only saving grace was good musicians and backup singers that carried the performance a bit. This wasn't worth the $70 each we paid. Several friends who have recently seen him agree that he sucked!
