This is my third time seeing Les Mis onstage (8/11/23 in Hollywood) and I'd see it again in a heartbeat. The voices and acting were fantastic--some gorgeous harmonizing!--and, even though I've seen one production with the rotating stage circle, I didn't feel like anything was missing without it. The background projections were great at giving the scenes depth. / Minor criticisms: Some of the quieter lines were TOO quiet, and some lyrics seemed rushed compared to the OBC recording; my companion said she wished the lyrics were projected. As others have said, I highly recommend reading a synopsis or the lyrics beforehand so as not to miss important details and witty quips. [Side note not meant as a criticism: Interesting to see that a line of "Beggars at the Feast" has been changed to make Thenardier not sound like a homophobe. Sign of the times.]

Absolutely outstanding: the Los Angeles performance at the Pantages Theater was simply amazing. Spectacular performances, great sets, wonderful orchestra. Do not miss it!

I have seen many Broadway and touring productions of Les Miserables. I have never seen one as well done as this one. Every performer playing every role was magnificent. I have never seen any audience as involved, enthused and appreciative as this one was- going from boisterous applause, to laughter, to absolute silence. Every scene whether solo or ensemble, whether vocal or dance was beyond impressive. The staging and set design brilliantly integrated technology and tradition in a way that added much to the production but never distracted from the amazing talent of all those on the stage. Simply the best

Saw Les Mis in Charlotte night of 5/24/25 and was blown away; near perfection on all fronts! Leads, ensemble, orchestra, mics, lighting and stage work were all incredible, such a brilliant performance!

This is the fourth time I've seen Les Mis. It is by far my most favorite musical production. The Van Wezel performance at the 2:00 matinee this Wednesday was the best of the four I've seen. Every lead voice was excellent. The sets were great. The interpretation of story was different than any other, in the best possible way. Victor Hugo was genius. This company brought the intentin of his script to life in the very best way. All our human traits, the desperation to the elation, and everything in between was masterfully given to us, your audience, by your stellar performances. Thank you.
