Why see Wardruna?

Be Transported...

Norweigan Nordic-Folk group Wardruna are returning to North America this year for a brand new jaunt in support of recent album, Kvitravn! Priding themselves on being a traditional folk group, Wardruna uses the oldest Nordic instruments along with traditional poetry rhythms, Nordic language, and ancient Norweigan tongues to create entrancing and atmospheric music.

First forming in 2009, Wardruna have been honing their sound, band formation and live shows since. After three years in the making, Wardruna now return to the States with Kvitravn. Gaining inspiration from traditional folklore, Wardruna bring you more, but not the same, ethereal and transcending compositions. Be transported back to ancient Norway and become immersed in its magical and mythic culture.

I'm not religious, but that shit was almost a religious experience. 300 or so people sitting in the dark and none of us made a sound, we all were just staring in stunned silence until the end and then we gave like a 5 minute straight standing ovation. ...
