Why see Morrissey?

40 years of morrissey

The British musical icon and the godfather of modern alternative music has an influence that cannot be overstated. Always passionate about music, Morrissey began his musical career as the lead singer of the Smiths, writing the classic albums The Queen is Dead and Meat Is Murder with guitarist Johnny Marr. Catch Morrissey as he embarks on his new North America tour titled '40 years of Morrissey' this autumn!

Having flourished as a solo artist since the demise of The Smiths, Moz has produced classic albums like Vivia Hate and Vauxhall and I. In 2014, he released the critically acclaimed World Peace Is None of Your Business, a cacophonous compilation in which his lyrical genius, black humor, and artistic integrity shines.

Aside from music, he's been a fervent and often outspoken (see above) animal rights activist. Whilst his politics might be somewhat interesting, he still inspires a devotion in his fans like no other, a commitment he repays in kind up on stage. While this will be the perfect opportunity to road test his newer material, older solo work and some classics from The Smiths catalog are sure to make an appearance.

Will in the Atl

Better than previous years!

Big fan! Awesome concert to include a Waylon Jennings cover. Carmen the new guitarist was an excellent addition! Love the humor and the truth. He knows his audience well and even broke up a fight on the front row when security wanted to beat a guy down for jumping in the stage. Thx for coming to Atlanta! ... Read more

July 2, 2022 was awesome!!!!

What an incredible performer! It’s rare to see a band with such raw guitar power together with an incredible singer/songwriter. True, Morrissey is a bit pompous (who really wants his sweaty t-shirt after all?) nevertheless, the guy knows how to put on a show. I’m glad I went and given the incredible lyrics he writes, a bit more humility would be nice. ... Read more
