What better way to start off the latest Bowl season in support of music education then with jazz rock champions Steely Dan? Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Donald Fagen and Walter Becker will be kicking things off in style with their signature blend of funk, RnB, soul, pop and of course jazz, all with a live orchestral backing to boot!
The dynamic duo first met at college, forgoing the traditional dive-bars to stadium rock and roll route in favour of a killer work ethic and studio obsession. Their penchant for pairing complex harmony with catchy, upbeat melodies and intelligent lyrics not only broke conventions, but spoke to the masses and earned them a host of awards, including a fair few Grammys. From Can't Buy A Thrill to Aja, they'll be serving up the best of their back catalogue with a backing band tighter than your uncle's trousers after Christmas lunch.
