Why see Alice In Chains?

Grunge Greats

One of the most successful alternative rock act of the 1990s, Alice in Chains may have been grouped together with grunge greats Nirvana and Soundgarden, but they always boasted a harder metal edge than their contemporaries. Their greatest success came in 1992 with the album Dirt, which included the iconic singles 'Would?' and 'Rooster'. 2023 sees them heading on tour this fall with rock and rolls Guns N' Roses!

The band were forced into a hiatus by frontman Layne Staley's long battle with drugs, which eventually concluded with his tragic death in 2002. Since then, the band have returned with new frontman William DuVall leading the line and a renewed commitment to the pure heaviness of their early work. Catch them when they hit a city near you!

Alice In Chains blew the roof off the Queen Elizabeth Theatre with a blistering performance last night. Jerry Cantrell, William DuVall, Mike Inez and Sean Kinney continue to impress with their musicianship, interaction with fans and quality of songs and setlist. The band was tight, polished and full of energy and had their frenzied fans singing along to songs old and new. I have seen the mighty AIC twice on their Rainier Fog tour and I highly recommend everyone go see this legendary band that is at the top of their game.. ... Read more

Alice In Chains...simply one of the greatest bands. Slithery and sexual sounds, demonic yet, upraising music man. There’s no words. THE ARMORY In Minneapolis sucks though...they made a mini us bank stadium style place for no reason. Could have been a way better reconstruction of that joint. Place is a rip off but that’s where we are going in todays world, less art, more gentrificated 10 dollar beers. And the security is an absolute joke...that was a show within itself!! They got all the wanna be prison guards/ dairy farm kids from Wisconsin and gave em black shirts and pepper spray...literally was like getting through airport security...sir belt off please...and no smoke spots...once you’re in, you can never leave! Bs place. But chains...RULED ... Read more
