Why see Gordon Lightfoot?

an icon live

Bob Dylan calls Gordon Lightfoot one of his favorite songwriters - a fine tribute to a legacy that is still being written. In a career spanning nearly 40 years, the Canadian folk legend has recorded over 200 songs, written many more, and influenced the sound of so many highly successful artists.

Don't miss the iconic singer/songwriter as he sets out across the country once more on a series of live dates this year. Expect to hear some of his most beloved hits including 'Sundown','The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald', 'If You Could Read My Mind' among many, many more. At 80 years old, Lightfoot is still showing folksters around the world how it's done!

80th Years Strong Tour at the Rose in Pasadena

Absolutely amazing concert. Gordon Lightfoot sounded as good, at 80, as he did at 40. He put on a great show, sang beautifully, and was very entertaining. I took my mom for her 91st birthday which was the same day as the concert, March 10, 2019, and she absolutely loved it. He sang his greatest songs such as Sundown, The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, If You could Read my Mind. Gordon Lightfoot had some of his greatest hits while I was in high school, so it really took me back. My mom did not know much about his music, but she fell in love with him during this concert. My mom and I had the best time and I will always remember both Gordon Lightfoot's performance and my mom's 91st birthday. Thank you for a wonderful performance and a wonderful time with my mom. ... Looking forward to the performance

Of course he doesn't sound like he did 20 nor 30 years ago. He's had years and miles added on since then. I have friends & relatives who have passed and I would give anything to hear them sing just one more time, no matter their voice, it's them I love and now miss. As long as he wants to perform I want to hear him and all the history in the voice he has left. ... Read more
