Pacific Festival Ballet - Noahs Ark at Fred Kavli Theatre

Why see Pacific Festival Ballet - Noahs Ark?

The Animals Went In Two By Two

First premiering in 2010, Pacific Festival Ballet's original production of Noah's Ark is a popular collaboration between its artistic director Kim Maselli and composer Eric Allaman which combines ballet, aerial choreography and multi-media projections to create the Biblical world of old! Following the Genesis story of Noah and his family, they must embark on a perilous journey to a new, safer world upon a huge Ark, bringing with them all sorts of animals, two by two.

Stunning costumes, aerial work, lighting and projections takes you thousands of years into the past as the animals are imaginatively represented by the cast. Marvel at the great flood as it destroys the world and mankind alike; experience the cloistered world of the Ark and rejoice at the first rainbow that promises new hope and life. An exciting new example of modern mixed media dance, what better way to display this than the original story of new beginnings?

Excellent show

We saw this 4 or 5 years ago. The music was beautiful and the staging was gorgeous. Lots of colors, unique dances, tons of animals of all ages. The main dancers were terrific. Very excited to see it's returned. ... Read more
