A titan of the 20th century is celebrated at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, as the Los Angeles Symphony Orchestra transport us to George Gershwin's jazz-infused world with his Concerto in F. Immerse yourself in the wonderful sounds from one of the greatest American composers, conducted by Elim Chan and featuring Igor Levit on piano.
Also on the program is the kaleidoscopic instrumental color of Rachmaninoff's final work, Symphonic Dances. Each of its contrasting three dances come together to form a retrospective whole that stunningly sums up the Romantic icon's musical philosophy - bold driving rhythms, heart-stoppingly beautiful melodies and lush orchestration.
