Why see Los Angeles Philharmonic - Sibelius and Swan Lake?

Los Angeles Philharmonic take to the stage with Sibelius' 1905 Violin Concerto, during which celebrated violin virtuoso American Hilary Hahn flexes her bow for its symphonic showpiece passages, designed to test the mettle of even the most accomplished of players.
Following this will be a selection of pieces from Tchaikovsky's masterpiece, Swan Lake. Conducted by Alpesh Chauhan, the orchestra conjures the captivating world of Odette and her fate at the hands of her captor, to spend her nights in the guise of an elegant, but heart broken swan.
