Burt Bacharach at Cerritos Center

Why see Burt Bacharach?

The Songwriting Master

'I Say A Little Prayer', 'Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head', 'What's new Pussycat?', 'The Look of Love'... there's one thing all these songs have in common, and it's that they sprung from the mind of Burt Bacharach. Together with lyricist Hal David, Bacharach wrote some of the most iconic tracks of the 60s and 70s, for artists as diverse as Dusty Springfield, Dionne Warwick and The Carpenters. His unique arrangements, heavily reliant on jazzy atmosphere and fuglehorns, became known as the 'Bacharach sound'.

Burt is also an accomplished performer of his own material, with dozens of solo records to his name, and he'll be drawing from the entirety of his massive catalogue for these Los Angeles dates.

Absolutely a stunning evening filled with memories and joy, and hearing music as it is meant to be heard--played live and played well. ... Read more
