Formerly an animal-based theme park called Jungleland USA, the Plaza as we now know it was built in 1994 to house both performance and administrative spaces at a relatively modest cost of $63.8 million. The contemporary style was the brainchild of architect and AIA Gold Medal winner Antoine Predock, using a combination of Postmodern and Modern styles.
