Inspiring!

The cast was amazing! They were so talented and entertaining. I purchased a discounted ticket on Groupon but would have no problem paying full price. The theatre is not luxurious by any means but it is very quaint, clean and welcoming. The customer service was exceptional. I will definitely return for other plays and have already bought tickets for my granddaughter and her friends to see “dream girls” tomorrow. So happy I was invited. I needed a feel good experience and this play did that for me! I highly recommend you all go see it! ❤️ ... Read more

Dreamy Show....just not dreamy sound production!

Ever since seeing the original Broadway cast version with Jennifer Holiday playing Effie I have been a devoted fan of the show and it's score. But yesterday's performance left us wishing the sound had matched the level of the talent on the stage. It was often muffled and left several of us leaning in to hear the talent. Several in our group were disappointed with "When I Am Telling You" as the sound director just didn't give her enough mic. She's got a great voice but it needed more power in the amplification. That much was obvious when Effie was collapsing into Curtis's arms when she had the benefit of both her mic and his! Too bad. The song was great but could have been much greater with the right sound level The actor who played James Thunder Early was beyond amazing! His vocal range and vocalization coupled with his lightening fast dance was dazzling and garnered the most audience reaction...literally. Hope to see more of him. All in all a great show and well worth seeing. ... Read more
