Love Elton - Dodger Stadium - Not So Much

Elton was fantastic and I enjoyed every minute I saw. I stress "every minute I saw" because getting into Dodger Stadium ended up requiring a 1.5 mile uphill march, followed by a LONG wait at the gate, long wait to get a wristband and bottlenecks as far as the eye could see. We missed the first 5-6 songs dealing with this confusion. I will not be attending another concert in this venue. I've gotten in and out of Coachella faster. BUT - Elton was WORTH IT! ... Read more

great show , poor venue

I have seen Elton multiple times since the late 70's , he is always great and the show last night at the dodgers stadium was no exception . Fantastic sound, great band , classic songs and Elton being Elton . My only negative is the venue. The ability to get to dodgers stadium was painful. Traffic control was appalling and the end result was lots of empty seats as people struggled to get into the venue. How can this be such a mess . The stadium is way to big , the stage too far away so the atmosphere was poor to say the least . I saw the same show at staples and it was much better because it was a better venue , I understand why Elton wanted to play there because of the history but he sacrificed alot to do that . ... He is a true superstar and has the ability to reach everyone in the audience and lift them up regardless of where they are sitting and how large the arena is. ... Read more
