Featuring mainstage classics Aida, Don Giovanni, and La Cenerentola, as well as groundbreaking company premieres like Missy Mizoli's modern classic Breaking Waves, the Los Angeles Opera's 2020/21 season invites audiences into the enchanting world of opera once more. The season sets off to a rousing start with Verdi's impassioned masterpiece Il Trovatore, featuring Verdi master and conductor James Conlon, the LAO Orchestra and Chorus, soprano Angel Blue and tenor Gregory Kunde.

As time wears on, the fate of young lovers Manrico and Leonora becomes entwined with the vengeful Count Di Luna and the gypsy woman's daughter Azucena. Tensions escalate when it comes to light that local ruler Count di Luna's missing brother may have also been lost to the fire...
