The first in the trilogy starring the mischievous Count Almavira and his wily servant Figaro, enjoy this madcap comedy as the duo starts the adventure of wooing the witty and beautiful Rosina right out from under the nose of her minder, Dr. Bartolo. With devious disguises and meddlesome mishaps, the fate of the heart of this young girl is one thrilling and hilarious ride. In this new to Los Angeles Opera production from the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Tony and Emmy winner Rob Ashford directs a cast including Isabel Leonard as Rosina and Emmet O'Hanlon as the wily Figaro!

What is the story?

The story follows Figaro, the Barber of Seville and a self-made matchmaker! His latest project is to ensure he can sprit away the beautiful Rosina to wed the dashing Count Almaviva, much to the dismay of her guardian Dr. Bartolo who wants to marry her himself. Will love win the day, or will Figaro's cunning plans fail? Either way, it's a highly entertaining ride!
