I remember Carole King's Tapestry album from my high-school days. It isthe soundtrack to many of my memories of the time. I had no idea though of the prolific talent of Carole King - writing songs for the Shirelles, Bobby Vee, Aretha Franklin and others BEFORE embarking on her own career as a performer. The show cleverly weaves her emergence as a writer and, later, as a performer with exceptional engagement across changing tastes in music and her own growth and challenges with a difficult marriage. At times I laughed, at times I had tears in my eyes but I enjoyed this show like no other. It was Beautiful!!
