Saw Memphis yesterday at the Fred Kavli Theater. Arrived in time for the 2:00 performance. Manager (?) came on stage to promote future shows and gave out some awards. Frankly, thought this was an intrusion on us and lasted about 20 minutes. We were unaware that this was going to take place and annoyed that we rushed to get to our seats on time. Felt like he took advantage of a captive audience. He could have done this at 1:40 and had the show start on time for when it was called for. On to the show. It was fantastic. We attend shows at the the Pantages Theater in Hollywood on a regular basis and this show was of the high caliber of shows there! Choreography and actors were terrific. It was an energetic musical that was non-stop! Loved every minute of it. The actors were fantastic. Except fot that future show pitch at the beginning, this was great theater!

I saw this show on Broadway in New York. I have seen a lot of Broadway shows but this is the best one by far.

Normally I have ants in my pants and eventually check my watch for the time. I was dancing in my seat and truly entertained by fantastic talent and energy!

"Memphis" is one of the best shows we have seen at The Hanover over the last 6 years. Awesome performances by each of the cast members. We are so lucky to have The Hanover in Wormtown!

Totally amazed with the singing, acting and dancing of the entire cast. Seats were third row from the stage (which I loved!)and a standing ovation was given this opening night. I didn't want to leave the theater. There are great restaurants all around the Academy of Music to eat, drink and bask in the glow of "Memphis." This is the best of "West Side Story" and "Hairspray" blended into an unforgettable musical experience.
