Born in 1899, Duke Ellington (so-called because of his good manners and snappy dress) rose from professional sign painter to one of the most prolific bandleaders of all time. His incredible back catalog continues to inspire artists to this day, and what better way to enjoy it than during this full-scale event at the Hollywood Bowl?
