Los Angeles Philharmonic - Dudamel Conducts Verdi's Requiem at Hollywood Bowl

Why see Los Angeles Philharmonic - Dudamel Conducts Verdi's Requiem?

dudamel returns

A decade since he last conducted Verdi's Requiem, celebrated conductor Gustavo Dudamel returns to lead the Los Angeles Philharmonic in another performance of this classic composition as part of the Hollywood Bowl Summer Season, with Angel Blue, Rihab Chaieb, Mario Chang and Ryan Speedo Green leading the singing!

Requiem is one of Giuseppe Verdi most iconic pieces of music and was written honor of Alessandro Manzoni, a reknown Italian poet and novelist who passed away in 1873. Verdi could not bring himself to attend the funeral for his admired friend and artistic ally, instead creating a Requiem Mass in memory of Manzoni's life.
