Gustavo Dudamel and Itzhak Perlman combine their might in this evening of pure musical magic. See infamous conductor, Dudamel, lead the Los Angeles Philharmonic and virtuosic violinist Perlman in Mendelssohn's iconic Violin Concerto. Audience members will also get to enjoy a perfromance of Beethoven's Symphony No. 6 "Pastoral".

Gustavo Dudamel

Venezuelan born Gustavo Dudamel found his passion at an early age. Involved with the prestigious El Sistema educational programme and studying Violin from the age of 10 Dudamel began his conducting career in 1995, and began leading the Orquesta Sinfonica Simon Bolivar. Ten years later, in 2005, Dudamel began his extensive and glittering career with the Los Angeles Philharmonic where he is set to be for a little while yet!

Itzhak Perlman

Born in Tel Aviv, Perlman was at first considered too small to hold the violin, however after teaching himself with a toy instrument this determined musician gained access to study at the Shulamit Conservatory and at the Academy of Music in Tel Aviv. Moving to the USA to study at Juilliard Perlman never looked back. Even though the star suffered polio when he was just four, and now must use crutches and mobility scooters to move around, Perlman has gone onto play at a State Dinner at the White House, a Presidential Inauguration and was awarded with the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2015.
