" When bidding farewell to summer, one may as well do so with a bang-in this case both figuratively and literally. Tchaikovsky. Fireworks. A better way to fill up all the rows of seating at Hollywood Bowl has yet to be devised."

The annual celebration of one of classical music's most revered composers
One of classical music's most revered composers, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's work is known the world over, from enchanting ballets such as Swan Lake to the rousing exuberance of his 1812 Overture. In July, the Los Angeles Philharmonic return once more with their annual triumphant celebration of the Russian maestro at the Hollywood Bowl, in this powerful and moving spectacular, replete with blazing fireworks to set the jubilant mood.
Conducted by Bramwell Tovey and with further accompaniment from the USC Trojan Marching Band, this year's concert will include excerpts from the Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Variations on a Rococo Theme and of course, the grand 1812 Overture.
