Los Angeles Opera's 2021/22 season invites audiences into the enchanting world of opera once more. Programming continues Wagner's romantic masterwork, Tannhauser, which features the conducting talents of James Conlon, the LA Opera Orchestra and up and coming German tenor Issachah Savage in the title role.

Homegrown organist Carpenter isn't your ballpark standard organ grinder; this guy is a true virtuoso of the medium, combining showmanship and technique that leaves people with dropped jaws. At the tender age of 33, he is one of the youngest experts in his art anywhere in the world. Often touring with a specially made electronic organ, 2014 saw him release DVD If You Could Read My Mind, containing performances and commentary by him recorded on the very same electronic organ.

Just in time for Halloween festivities, a hallowed tradition is back and this time the LA Opera will be bringing the thrills and chills with a special live screening of Jordan Peele's modern "gospel horror" masterpiece Get Out. Taking place at the Ace Hotel Theatre, the film will be accompanied by the world respected ensemble and the LA Opera Orchestra, as well as the DC6 singers, the Selah gospel choir featured on the original soundtrack.

Featuring mainstage classics Il Trovatore, Don Giovanni, and La Cenerentola, as well as groundbreaking new prestnations, the Los Angeles Opera's 2020/21 season invites audiences into the enchanting world of opera once more. The season cavorts on with Rossini's rollicking bel canto opera La Cenerentola, Stefan Herheim's fairytale production featuring conductor Roberto Abbado, Serena Malfi and Levy Sekgapane as the wonderful lovers!

Humbugs beware! This affectionate production of Charles Dickens' classic tale comes to Los Angeles for the 2021 Holiday season, direct from London's West End, via Broadway! First debuting in 2017 at London's iconic Old Vic Theatre, this adaptation from Harry Potter and the Cursed Child writer Jack Thorne and Old Vic Artistic Director Matthew Warchus, has been praised for its joyful and warmhearted approach to the fable.
