The Movie
Baz Luhrmann's Moulin Rouge! is cemented into the world-wide canon of iconic movies. With a glittering cast featuring Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor, and a set which would astound the most cynical viewer it's no wonder that Moulin Rouge! went on to be one of the most award-nominated movies of all time. When released in the early 2000s Moulin Rouge! was nominated for an outstanding 129 awards, winning two Academy Awards, three Golden Globes, and one BAFTA. Moulin Rouge's success certainly cemented Luhrmann's stake as a global movie icon.
The Story
The year is 1900, and Christian, a young poet and talented writer, has come to Paris to pursue a career and become a member of the Bohemian movement. Christian ends up falling hopelessly in love with Satine, the star of the famous Moulin Rouge. However, Satine has already been promised to the unscrupulous Duke. A love triangle ensues. As Christian and Satine try to stay together against all odds, they are led down a dark and dangerous path, but Satine is holding a terrible secret of her own...

Moulin Rouge
The I was so impressed by every aspect of this theater! There's not a bad seat in this beautiful theater, great staff, and no long wait in line (even with a packed house). I would highly recommend this for a spectacular night out!
Now for the show... It was utterly mesmerizing from beginning to end! The performer's acting, dancing and singing left me speechless! I'll have to say they had some of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard! Oh, the costumes and orchestra were exquisite as well!
I laughed and cried. Overall I was in awe of the entire experience. It will be one of my favorite experiences, and will remember for a lifetime!
I would say it would this show would be appropriate for age 17+. If possible I would rate this 500 stars! ... Read more

So much to say I don't know where to start. I have seen a lot of theater and this musical is by far the BEST show ever! You can feel the energy, the love, the laughter.
