A magnificent evening!
The Fox Theater in Oakland on Thursday, March 21st, was the second time I have seen APP. The first was in '96 for the On Air tour. Completely different lineup, and it's amazing how Mr. Parsons can find musicians to recreate all of his music! The vocals, keyboards and guitars were perfect, as were the drums and saxophonist! I don't remember seeing any other concerts that brought tears to my eyes, except Pink Floyd. If you have a chance to see this living legend and musical genius, please do it! Outstanding performance! Band did the classic "Eye in the Sky" album in it's entirety. Many of the classics from "I-Robot", "Turn of a Friendly Card" and " Tales of Mystery & Imagination" Thought Alan's newest lead guitarist was amazing. The only downside was the sound mix. My husband and I became huge fans of Alan Parsons while dating in 1980, and the 42 year wait to see him in person (The Wellmont Theater, April 30, 2022) along with this awesome, talented band was well worth it. Excellent show and so many favorites played. The invitation to come to the stage was the highlight of the evening! Cannot wait to see them again some time. ... Read more
