Marc Martel ( check him out on YouTube) and The Ultimate Queen Celebration are a class act with amazing talent which keeps you riveted to the stage and in a constant euphoria of truly celebrating Queen! Best evening ever!! Marc, with his unbelievable range, reminiscent doppelgänger sound of Freddie Mercury and energetic movement and style keeps you coming back for more!!! My sister and I saw the performance as birthday gifts to each other ;the band and the effervescent Marc Martel did not disappoint!!! Honored to meet Marc in a meet and greet ... so humble and real. I am a true Freddie fan and Marc could easily front the present Queen band to sell out shows:). Our seats in row BB were fabulous but every seat in the house seemed a good view. Intimate venue but still sold out seats tiered with two balconies. Enjoyable Mexican food at Belair Cantina. Pleasant, clean rooms at Days Inn. Fun experience recommended to everyone!!!!

A tribute band frequently get the charisma right to OK, but the music, not so much. With Marc Martel you get their great music, and his obvioius affection for Queen. I saw the show at a casino, which means there were many casual attendees mixed in with hard-core Queen fans, For that reason, I would have loved to have seen an intro video or at least have an announcer present Marc's "credentials." Here's a fellow who has actually performed with Queen, won awards and other honors. The "set up" would have enhanced the show, and I think, made the casual attendees more aware of what they were seeing. This show is more thanthe usualy tribute band. Seating at Ovation is odd. In the pit, you sit on rather uncomfortable folding chairs, closely placed together and are looking up. . Farther back when the seating begins to rise, the row in front on you is below your line of sight, the chairs are more spacious, wider and almost like mini-loungers.

Solid Vocals, Like the Approach, Why Can't the Get the Sound Right??

This show was worth the price. Solid performance by Marc, great performance by the band, good stage presence and audience engagement. What was a fail was the sound board. Why do you have to jack the sound up on the piano and main mic when it's just the two live feeds? It sounded pretty bad as the piano was distorted, the vocals compensated somewhat but they didn't adjust the volume for just the two. In the end, it took away from Marc's vocals. Marc navigated through some equipment failure on the acoustic guitar (stage hands don't check this before hand??). Overall great show with some opinionated misses.
