Staples Center, a large multi-purpose sports arena in Downtown Los Angeles, is one of the main sports facilities in the Greater Los Angeles Area. The L.A Arena Company and Anschutz Entertainment Group manage the arena. It is home to the Los Angeles Clippers and the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association, as well as the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Los Angeles Sparks of the Women's National Basketball Association. The center hosts over 250 events annually, and aside from sporting events, these include large-scale concerts, music events and award shows.
