Joji Phoenix concert

I took my son and his girlfriend to see joji last night. My son has been a die hard fan for many years and it was his excitement and loyalty to him as an artist that got me into him. I had promised my son years ago if he ever came to Phoenix we would go see him. Last nights concert was so many things for me… it was a mother getting to fulfill her child’s greatest wish … and it really was a dream come true for my son .. and seeing his face when he experienced is something I’ll never forget… for that I’d like to thank joji… on the small chance he stumbles on this review… thank you for making me the best mom in the world in my sons eyes… the show did not disappoint joji sang his heart out song after song… it was fun and the mood was great… awesome night

His opening people SavageRealm and Lil Toe hyped the stadium up. They were fun and amazing. Kenny Beats was great with his awesome dj mix. Joji sang so many songs, along with songs from Smithereens. 10 out of 10. You can tell he and his crew had fun and we did too.

I would have to give this concert a 10/10 because of the memes and excitement and fun most of the band/singer and crowd gave! It was amazing and I really enjoyed the atmosphere, 10/10 for everyone going wild as well to make the flooring instead the armory shake. I've really enjoyed Joji since he started out as Filthy Frank and followed him until now. I would definitely recommend this guy because of the hype and excitement that he brought out to the stage! We love you and we really enjoyed the energy brought! Come back again for some more Minnesota Love!

Not as expected

I went to this concert with the expectation that I’d watch an artist perform and sing, listen to his voice live for once. Instead, it was like a high school- like party where they would stop the performance after one song and throw t shirts. Or say a joke. It took you out of the original reason for going - to listen to him sing live. Another thing is, Joji sang a lot of songs from his YouTube days and absolutely none from his new album Smithereens. Doesn’t it make sense when an artist goes on tour they sing some songs from their new album.. overall I was disappointed with the “performance” and stage manner in general. It was a waste and I’m rather off listening to him from my phone now.
