The band was tight. Phil blew the doors off with his fantastic solos as did Andy. The knock on Bryan's singing might have been valid at other stops on the tour but he was in fine form at Chase. I'm not sure where the SF reviewer was sitting but the crowd was into the show from the start with most standing the entire show. The setlist was spot on with the sole misstep of leaving off the "jealous guy" encore. St Vincent was excellent as well.

A great opening w St. Vincent allowed Roxy to enter MSG with a beautiful sonic wash. Not trying to be anything other than Roxy, they were pure vibe and tight as hell with and an elegant projection show to heighten the experience. Enchanting. Mesmerized.

I have always loved Roxy Music even though I can't say that I have gotten in to any of there albums. That said i had never seen them live so I looked forward to going to see them at the forum last night . I was disappointed that the show had so few hits and too many tracks I didn't know . Were was Street life or Virginia plane etc . Although very professional , the show was lacking excitement and energy . I know they are old but the audience never seemed to get going , nor did I . My final criticism is on a set list they did jealous Guy is a shop a couple of days earlier but did not it last night which made me feel cheated . Who does that ????? , Glad I saw them but not memorable

Great to see Roxy Music in Toronto, the first time the band has toured North America in 11 years and their first Toronto date since Massey Hall some 48 years ago. Only 13 stops on this 50 Anniversary tour. Many original band members including Phil Manzanera who had been touring with David Gilmour. 12 musicians on stage, 2 percussion, 2 horns, 2 back up singers, 2 guitar, 1 bass, 2 keyboard and of course from man Bryan Ferry. Great musicianship here but Ferry's voice is not what is was perhaps understandably as a 78 year old singer. He seem to struggle most notably with songs "More Than This" which was sung an octave lower, and Love is the Drug, where the backup singers filled in the notes in the upper register. He seemed to be coasting rather than reaching perhaps saving what he has left to get through the remaining dates. Seats were sold only in the lower bowl of the Scotia centre and were not sold out which was a shock to me. Kudos to an entertaining warm up band St Vincent
