Our favorite concert ever!

We loved the music, sounds, venue and above all harmony among all the band members. Nathaniel also has a super fun dancy energy, and his voice is unique and works for every song. They saved some of the best for last (SOB, Never get Old) which was a perfect ending. I also loved the melodious songs that are less high energy but equally riveting like Hey Mama. We were singing along the whole time and couldn't stop dancing and smiling - truly awesome group and concert!!!

Amazing show, Great Sound

The show at RTH was fantastic. Great sound in the theater. Nathaniel and his band were accompanied beautifully by a fantastic string quartet. The tunes were joined by fantastic lighting and effects that suited the venue and the emotion in the theater. New solo album is fantastic and I loved every minute of the show. Not sure how anyone could think otherwise.

Could have been so much better

One of my favorite venues in Pittsburgh, Stage AE, indeed, the best outdoor venue...with the backdrop of the PPG building and an awesome full moon. should have made for a great show. Instead, a couple of older songs (SOB right in the middle of the set got everyone revved up, and then he brought the energy down with slow new songs...no talking to the audience, I'm not even sure he introduced the band....and most of all...NO ENCORE. It was a let down. Saw the Pixies last month at Stage AE in the pouring rain and they blew me away. NRATNS not so much

Disappointed

The venue as always was amazing. The history of the building and the acoustics are some of the best I've experienced and have been to many venues big and small. Would have liked to hear some of Nathaniel's older music from the Night Sweats. As good as the new music is I feel like I heard the same song several times just in a different time signature. At one point I found myself trying not to nod off because how somber the mood got. Not sure I would go see him again unless he changed the set list and added some upbeat music. I know I'm not the only person who feels this way talking to people leaving the theater and leaving the parking garage someone was blaring S.O.B from there vehicle. Guessing they would have liked to here that tune. He needs to get the horn section back in there.

Cowtown flop

Like do many other musicians Nathaniel never embraced the night inFt. worth. He thank us for coming but gave us an over produced, two drum bass beat down for three hours of seat sitting hands buried on our laps boredom. Don’t get me wrong his vocals and storytelling were strong, but the message always seemed bleak and very repetitive. Give your audience what they want. This was not that night

One song from Night Sweats???

I love Rateliff and particularly the Night Sweats albums that have made him successful. So what does he do?...play Roy Thompson Hall and only one song from the two Night Sweats albums. The advertisement said he played across his whole catalogue. The new album is good but this is arrogant and disappointing.
